Abstract

Fungicidal compositions contg as active component a cpd of formula Where A is a group - C : C- where X is H or halogen; a group - CH2-C(=Y)-, where Y is H2 or =CH2; a group R1 where R1, R2 are H, alkyl; R is H or 1-3C alkyl. The cpds are known as insecticides and plant growth regulators and are found to be effective against fungi e.g. Alternaria solani, Botrytis cinerea, Monilia fructigena, Piricularia oryzae and Uromyces appendiculatus on crops such as beans, tomatoes, rice etc. The effective conc in vitro is 1-2g/litre.
