Abstract

Waste waters, esp. for paper and fibreboard prodn. are treated with a soln. of a P-F resin; the resulting flocks are very rapidly agglomerated in the presence of a water-soluble polyether (mol.wt. >50,000), pref. polyethylene oxide (mol. wt. >100,000). Cellulose fibres are effectively removed from effluent waters.
