Abstract
Flotation appts. e.g. for recovering valuable constits. or concentrates from ores, comprises a flotation cell, air intake pipe leading into the cell, agitator and diffuser below the agitator a number, pref. four, of guide plates are fixed to the bottom of the cell and extand radially outwards pref. curved in the direction of rotation of the agitator, to the outer wall of the cell. This arrangement, by increasing the air intake, increases the flotation efficiency.
