Abstract

Cpds. of formula (I): are made from inters. (II): In both, R is H, halogen, alkyl; Ar is phenyl or 3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl; together with their optical isomers and acid-addn. salts. (II) are inters. which give A when reduced with LiAlH4. 'A' are used for treating anxiety and cardiac insufficiency. Dosage forms include suppositories of 100mg. tablets of 50 mg. and suspensions of 10 mg./ml. to be given in daily doses of 50-400 mg.
