Abstract

Packaging comprising a container body having an opening with an enlarged lip which can be engaged by a narrow mouthed groove in a cover moulded from an elastic material. Pref. the container lip and cover grooves have circular or lozenge shape corss sections. Pref. the cover has radial ribs which stiffen the cover behined the groove and are relieved to engage the base of a container stacked on top of the cover. Pref. the mouth of the container is extended as a skirt to stiffen the mouth for engaging the cover. Container bodies and lids are specif. polypropylene or high density polyethylene. Suitable for storage and use of pastes or liquids. e.g. paints.
