Abstract
Alpha-beta Ti alloys with improved ductility and roll-ability are produced by hot rolling in strip form to an intermediate thickness and then rolling to find gauge in two stages, each stage being separated by a low temp. anneal below the Ms. At least one stage includes a reduction of >25% at 430-790 degrees C. The final anneal is effected at 760 - 950 degrees C. The high strength of the alloy is maintained while higher reduction in strip is made possible with out cracking.
