Abstract

Radiation heating burner consists of a refractory fibre felt body with a metallic tube passing through it and force fitted to neck of the body and secured with a fixing collar. Inside the tube is a diffuser guiding the combustible material into the furnace. The diffuser comprises a rod, coaxially situated in the tube, having a shaped end. Radial flanges are situated between the rod and the tube to improve preheating of the fuel.
