Abstract

Granular foodstuff for ruminants, as described in the parent patent in which urea is milled with bicalcium phosphate, NaCl, sulphur, trace elements, vitamins antibiotics and water sufficient to give a paste which is fluid at 55 - 70 degrees C, then granulating the paste by injecting it and a rising current of gas into a conical cylindrical vessel, the granules already formed be ing kept in the form of a fluidized bed by the gas current. Granulation is more efficient by this technique than by those of the parent patent, esp. when NaCl is present in the foodstuff.
