Abstract
Thin electrodes are made from >=1 polymer and carbon conductivity fillers consisting of partly a uniformly distributed powder and partly of carbon fibres or filaments which are disposed mainly parallel to the plane of the electrodes. The carbon used may be acetylene black, furnace black or graphite. The polymers are pref. PVC, polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, epoxy resins, rubbers, polycarbonates, polesters, polysulphones and halogenated polyolefines. The polymer pref. does not contain, or contains only a small amt. of, plasticizer. The electrodes are used for electrochemical generators, partic. as tripolar electrodes.
