Abstract

The appts., for cutting up and stirring curdled milk for the mfr. of cheese, consists of a cylindrical tank with a central support connected to the tank by three radial arms. A first horizontal arm is provided which can turn around a vertical axis. Three tools, which dip into the milk when in operation, are suspended and attached respectively to one end of the arm and to the ends of a second horizontal arm which is itself suspended, by its central portion, to the other end of the first arm. Drives are provided by two electric or hydraulic motors mounted on the first arm. The speed of rotation of the first arm can be determined in advance, and, opt. regulated. The cutting tools used in the first stage can be exchanged for stirring tools in a second stage.
