Abstract

Effluent is flocculated using activated lime as mineral flocculant followed by decantation to sep. the liquid. The lime may be derived from Ca carbide decompsn. Usage of lime is 100-2000 mg. pref. 100-600 mg/litre and is used in homogenised foam as 'milk'.
