Abstract

Preparation of stabilized pesticidal compositions as described in the parent patent FR 70/34744 in which the fibrous support comprises an anhydrous or substantially anhydrous cellulose paste containing a stabilizer homogeneously mixed in it, characterized by impregnating the cellulose paste with a solution of the stabilizer in a suitable, volatile solvent, then removing the solvent by evaporation, the final pesticidal composition then being prepared by impregnating the support with the active liquid pesticide. Convenient method of dispersing homogeneously the stabilizer in the support. The preferred pesticide is dichlorvos. Suitable solvents for the stabilizer are water, alcohols, ether, acetone, esters and aromatic hydrocarbons.
