Abstract

A stack of round valve discs is placed between a source of partial vacuum and a suction nozzle, and each has an axial, displaced from centre, metering channel of known volume and radial inlet and outlet for reagent/flushing liquid and sample mixed with reagent. Every other disc, as well as end discs with only outlet or inlet, is fixed whilst the remainder can be turned about the centre line to establish through valve ways. Rapid accurate method, esp. for mass serum analysis eg. 10,000 samples of 1 ml. each per day.
