Abstract

A carriage carrying horizontal spindles is moved so that one of the spindles is aligned with a fixed horizontal spindle of a moving device, carrying a textile package on a hollow bobbin. A pusher plate connected to the piston rod of a pneumatic ram engages the bobbin and the ram is actuated so that the pusher plate pushes the bobbin onto the spindle on the carriage. The device is used for supplying heavy packages (e.g. 30 kg) to spinning devices.
