Abstract
A valve to regulate flow in valuable and/or high temp. and pressure fluids is formed as a sleeve on the tube contg. the fluid. The entry and exit parts of the valve are coaxial and the exit port extends inwards into the chamber of the sleeve, ending in a cap of elliptical section, concave towards the entry. The shutter of the valve is a rotating circular cylinder on a transverse axle which in the closed position fits exactly the distance between the entry port and the cap end of the exit port. It thus eliminates any force or couple acting on the axle of the shutter in this closed position and so does not get stuck or deformed, and only a smal force is required to move it into any other, fixable position.
