Abstract
Hydrophilising a latently hydrophilic copolymer by bulk copolymerising a mixt. of 25-50 vol. % MMA and 40-60 vol. % (meth)acrylic acid or a mixt. of these components and 50-20 vol. % of a long-chain (meth)acrylate and neutralising the copolymer obtd. with an aqs. soln. of a mild base. The prod. may be used as a viscosity-improving agent esp. for agricultural liqs.
