Abstract

The yarn is carried as a package on the bobbin which has a cog engaging a cog of a fixed feed roll to drive the fixed feed roll. The other feed roll is movable and is pref. spring biased against the fixed feed roll, and pref. the movable feed roller carries a cog for driven engagement with the cog of the fixed feed roll. Let-off the yarn is accurately controlled and can be carried out at high speeds.
