Abstract

Press tool set comprises at least one component made up from parallel coaxial layers of strip making up a laminated whole, with at least one slot for the location of a hardened steel piece extending over the whole of its width and another slot for an anchoring rod for joining the sheet metal elements of the laminate together and aligning them. Whilst the lamination takes the load it does not come in contact with the workpieces at high wear locations, where the interchangeable steel inserts are employed.
