Dazzle from oncoming vehicles' lights is prevented by means including a light source and reflector, the reflector pivots in a stirrup support, and its opening is obscured by a removable translucent plate which filters the light emitted by the source within the reflector. Pref. the source is a low power bulb supplied via the dashboard lighting switch.
