Abstract

Yarn ballooning preventing device in shuttleless weaving looms. Device for preventing ballooning of weft yarns as they are unwound from stationary bobbins in a shuttleless weaving loom comprises a pair of arcuate blades mounted pivotally on shafts disposed on diametrically opposite sides of the bobbin and extending parallel to the surface of the bobbin and blades being biased resiliently or gravitationally against the bobbin surface to press the yarn against the surface without appreciable braking effect.
