Abstract

Material contains 45-50 wt. % of linear polyethylene, 1-4 wt. % of graphite, 22-28 wt. % of spindle oil and 22-28 wt. % of a permanent lubricant which has been prepared by thickening a mixture of 90 wt. % of petroleum oil of low viscosity, 9.7 wt. % of the lithium soap of hydroxystearic acid and 0, 3 wt. % of diphenylamine. The anti-fraction material can be used over a wide range of temp. It has a coefficient of friction is not >0.45. At least 25 ships can be launched from stocks made of this material. The product is cellular synthetic, in which the skeleton consists of polyethylene, the cells are filled with graphite lubricant, spindle oil and the permanent lubricant.
