Abstract

Liquid flows containing bubbles enters zone containing a set of grills and flows into a collection zone. Liquid outlet is positioned in the bottom of this zone, the upper part being linked via a pipe to a vaccum pump to remove gas evolved from the liquid. A constant level system is used to cut out the pump when liquid level reaches a point above which it is likely to be drawn off by pump. Esp. used in degassing of liquid systems where liquid is not to be lost in significant quantities, e.g. liquids undergoing dialysis.
