Abstract

Condenser-evaporator for rectification column of double column rectifier comprises (a) a through standpipe passing through upper level for medium evaporated at lower levers, (b) a pipe connected to the upper part of the heat exchanger unit at each level, for the medium to be condensed, (c) a connecting pipe to receive condensed liquid from lower part of heat exchanger at each level, and to conduct it to further utilisation points. Advantages lie in improved operating stability.
