Abstract
L-Glutaminase is obtained by culturing Pseudomonas sp. ATCC-21025, Ps. Fluorescens ATCC-15453, or E. coli ATCC-10798 on a medium containing 5 - 40 g/1 glutamic acid at pH 6 - 9, pref. 7 - 8, and 20 - 40 degrees C. The glutamic acid may be present initially, or may be added continuously or stepwise. The cells are centrifuged off, disrupted and the enzyme worked up.
