Abstract

A chamber used to manipulate radioactive materials or similar has access to the interior provided by a set of gloves. This system has the advantages of being easily assembled or disassembled and requires no components to be accurately machined to ensure close fitting. The sides are flat panels which are mounted onto a framework of square section beams. The beams are fitted with ribs into which clamps are bolted to hold the panels, and a seal is provided between the panel and the frame.
