Abstract

Heating surfaces of exchanger are formed on outer walls of internally ribbed chambers positioned in shell, and through which liquid to be heated, pref, water, flows longitudinally. The heating fluid circulates about these chambers, and suitable flow distributors are used to direct flow through and about them. Exchanger is easily coated with anticorrosive material, and several similar or different units may be used in conjunction with one another.
