Abstract

Rolling mill stand consists of a monoblock assembly which only has to be coupled to a motor for operation, consisting of two orthogonal drive shafts either of which may be connected to the motor. The stand also has two sets of fixing plates so that the position of the stand on the rolling table may be simply altered from a horizontal to a vertical position so that the drive shafts are inverted and the rolling line is not substantially altered.
