Abstract

Raw pieces are fed downward between sloping directing pieces, and are dried and reheated by hot gasses fed transverse to the directing pieces, some of which cross the section of the column of material formed by the raw pieces so as to receive a major part of the column above them; they are pref. in the drying part of the reheater.
