Abstract

Selective weedkiller prepn. in which the active ingredients are cyclohexyl-3-trimethylene-5,6-uracil (or lenacil), and 1-n-butyl-3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-methyl urea (or neburon) dissolved in a non-phytotoxic paraffin oil which contains at least 10% of material which can be sulphonated. Alternatively 5-amino-4-chloro-2-phenyl-pyridazine-3-one (P.C.A.) and 3-methoxycarbonylaminophenyl-N-(3'-methyl-phenyl)-carbamate (phenmedifam) can be used as the active ingredients, also dissolved in paraffin oil. The selective weed-killer is partic. useful for attacking weeds after the crop has come up. The activity is increased by using the paraffin oil soln.
