Abstract
The device comprises an electroluminescent diode and an optical system focussing the emitted photons on the detonator. Pref. the diode feed circuit includes a thyristor-capacitor switch. In the "safe" state the photon beam is blocked by a shutter which is opened by telemetry just before firing.
