Abstract

BENZO 1,5-THIAZEPINES HAVING CNS ACTIVITY. F3A. are new cmpds. of formula (1), including their acid addition and quaternary ammonium salts (where R1 = phenyl copt. substd. by OH, NO2, alkoxy or alkyl) or dialkoxy benzyl; R2=H or alkyl; or R1 and R2 may together form a tetramethylene or pentamethylene chain; R3=H, alkyl or acyl; R4=H; or R3 and R4 form a single bond, with the proviso that when R3 andR4 form a single bond, R1 is neither phenyl nor p-nitophenyl).
