Abstract

A flexible container for a non-coherent but adhesive particulate matl. has a cylindrical or prismatic body with flexible walls and stiff ends of which one is pivoted to allow full bore discharge of the contents. The adjacent end of the container body is supported by a rigid but discontinuous clip which can disengage the end of the container if contracted radially as a consequence of reducing the circumference of the clip. When loaded, errant contact of the clip is prevented by a spacer mounted on an adjacent pivot. Used esp. for pendant containers for storing and releasing measured total quantities of granular or powdered matls. which may agglomerate, e.g. ground rubber, pigments, plastics master batch materials, etc.
