Abstract

The invention concerns a waste heat boiler in which gases formed in processes at high temperature are cooled, and a process for improvement of heat recovery in the waste heat boiler. According to the invention at least one panel 17 is arranged in the gas space in the waste heat boiler's radiation part 15 so that the panel extends into the gas space in the radiation part, whereas the panel's shaking device 23 is connected to the part of the panel that remains outside of the gas space. The method according to the invention includes at least supply of hot process gases into the radiation part of the boiler and cooling of the gases therein, influencing the flow profile of the gas by means of a panel arranged in the gas space, in which deposits are formed on the surfaces enclosed by the gases and that the deposits are removed from the surfaces by creating vibrations in the panel by impact in the panel outside of the gas space. <IMAGE>
