Abstract

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for mounting holder and safety components on a support 10, in particular an external roof covering, to the opposite side of which it is difficult or impossible to gain access. According to the invention, at least one hole 12 is drilled in the support, through which a profile 11, which has at least one threaded opening and with which a rope engages at at least two points located at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the profile, is inserted into the space below the support by means of the rope and by means of the latter is pivoted into the desired position. A pin bolt 23 is then inserted through the hole 12 and is screwed into the threaded opening of the profile 11. After the rope has been pulled out, the component is mounted on the bolt 23 and is secured by means of a nut which is screwed onto the bolt until the holder or safety component bears against the covering 10 counter to the action of the profile 11 on the opposite side of the covering. If the profile 11 is fastened by means of two pin bolts 23 and two holes 12 are drilled in the support, use is made of a hoop-shaped threading tool to thread the rope down through one hole 12 and up through the other. <IMAGE>
