Abstract

Leijupetiprosessissa erityisesti kuivaamattomien hakkuutähteiden ja harvennusenergiapuun sekä viherbiomassan polttamista varten petimateriaaliin lisätään 30–100 % polttoaineperäisen tuhkan määrästä runsaasti kalsiumia ja/tai magnesiumia sisältävää helposti hienoutuvaa materiaalia polttoaineen sisältämien halogeeni- ja alkalikomponenttien sitomiseksi suoraan tai epäsuorasti muodostuvaan tuhkafraktioon. Prosessi käsittää edullisesti savukaasun sisältämän vesihöyryn latentin lämmön talteenottojärjestelmän. Ratkaisu mahdollistaa tuoreen, kuivaamattoman, erityisesti kloori- ja alkalipitoisen puuaineksen polton samanaikaisesti suurella hyötysuhteella ja pienentyneellä korroosiotaipumuksella kattilassa käytetyissä materiaaleissa, jolloin kattilan käyttöaste, käyttövarmuus sekä korjaus- ja huoltokustannukset paranevat oleellisesti.
