Abstract

The invention relates to a system for forming interior walls and/or ceilings, particularly in the interior spaces of different types of ships, which system includes wall caissons (1) and connecting elements (3-5) formed of insulating material coated with surface sheets manufactured of sheet metal, the side edges of which include connecting members for fastening the wall caissons (1) and the connecting elements (3-5) adjacently together to form interior walls and ceilings. In the system according to the invention, as the connecting member of adjacent wall caissons (1) and/or connecting elements (3-5), there are separate heat-insulated connecting pieces (2) to be fitted in fastening recesses (13) formed on the side edges of the wall caissons (1) and/or the connecting elements (3-5), which connecting pieces include protection brackets (23a, 23b) to be fitted in protection bracket openings (17a, 17b) in the fastening recesses (13), formed of both surface sheets (21a, 21b) of the connecting pieces (2) and being mainly at the same plane with them. The invention also relates to a wall caisson (1) used in the system according to the invention.
