Abstract
The invention relates to an air-distribution device with one or more tapping points arranged in a housing and displaceable pneumatic consumers allocated to the tapping points, the tapping points and the consumers forming a constructional unit, and the housing and the consumer or consumers being attached in series to a single feed line. When a rodless pneumatic cylinder (1) is used, a pneumatic tool (11) being arranged on its cylinder piston (8), the air is supplied to the pneumatic tool (11) through a passage (18 or 19) in the cylinder piston (8) of the pneumatic cylinder (1) from the cylinder space (15 or 25) to which air is admitted in each case. A special embodiment of this device is the transverse cut-off device for a material web (M) with a pneumatically driven, rotating circular blade (14) being arranged on the force-transmission element (9) of the cylinder piston (8). By the displacement of the piston (8) in the pneumatic cylinder (1), which lies transversely to the material web (M), the latter is cut off transversely by the rotating circular blade (14). During the forward movement of the piston (8), a portion of the compressed air flows out of the piston space (15) to which air is admitted, through the passage (18) and the line (22), into the pneumatic blade drive (13).
