Abstract

A fluid valve means 1 includes a casing 2 of laminated construction comprising a number of sheet-like elements 3 - 9 secured together in face-to-face engagement. Element 5 is formed with at least one nozzle 27 and the casing is provided with a chamber, defined by openings in elements 6 - 8, into which the or each nozzle opens. The valve means further includes a flow-impeding member 30, of laminar form, and operator means 40 therefor. Member 30 is disposed in said chamber and is co-operable with the nozzle. Also member 30 is supported by mounting means 35, 36 about the axis 37 of which it is pivotable by the means 40 in order to vary the rate of fluid flow discharging through the nozzle into said chamber and thus to control the pressure subsisting in at least one service port of the valve means.
