Abstract

In an apparatus for untwisting, opening and laying flat tricot fabric webs, the untwisting head arranged above the apparatus frame serves for cancelling the twist of the tricot tube. This untwisting head is arranged at a considerable height above the apparatus frame. To make the introduction of a new tricot tube into the ring of the untwisting head and maintenance work on this untwisting head easier, the latter is arranged on two pivoting arms which are mounted pivotably on the apparatus frame and which, in the pivoted-down state, guarantee good access to the untwisting head.
