Abstract

A semi-rigid penial prosthesis, to be applied surgically inside one of the penial cavities, consists of a plurality of spheres 5, 9, 10 slightly flattened at the poles and provided with a double row of holes through which extends an inextensible thread 7 which, when tensioned by a spring 14, causes the prosthesis to become rigid, and when the sphere 9 is disengaged form a support member 4, the tension on the thread 7 is removed to allow the prosthesis to bend.
