Abstract

Physiologically-active or acceptable salts are made by reacting an acid sweetener, e.g. saccharide acid, cyclamic acid, acesulphame or glycirric acid with a sweetening dipeptide deriv. of L-aspartic acid, in proportions of 1:1 or more. Reaction is in a solvent, e.g. methanol, in which both reactants are soluble, at 40-60 deg.C with subsequent evaporation. They are of use in solid or liq. foods and pharmaceutical prepns.
