Abstract

The process comprises simultaneous impregnation with metal salt solns. of burned alumina having 150-250 m3/g specific surface and 3-9 cm3/g pore volume. The Mo, Co and Zn can also be applied in succession to give aMoO3 bCoO3 cZnO 100Al2O3 catalyst. - The maximum total soln. concn. is 1M, and the maximum solid-liquid wt. ratio is 1, the surplus materials being removed after impregnation, prior to burning at 600 deg. C.
