Abstract
The invention provides for the controlled switching on and off of inductors in the supply lead of asynchronous motors, for speed control. This results in a reduction in the amount of noise developed and in the heating of the motors. By means of further measures, speed control is possible in a wide range, with a virtually constant load range.
