Abstract

A process for coating metal tubes having at least two organic composite layers and subsequent polyethylene coating by applying at least one layer which provides adhesion with the metallic undersurface and is corrosion-preventive, subsequent application of at least one layer which provides adhesion with the subsequent polyethylene is characterised in that the layer which provides adhesion to the metallic undersurface is applied as powder to the previously heated metal tube and is melted there thermally to form a film and in this process crosslinks in a duroplastic manner. The powder consists of a powder lacquer which crosslinks duroplastically in the heat on the basis of polyacrylate, epoxy binding agents, polyurethane binding agents, epoxy polyester binding agents and/or polyester binding agents.
