Abstract

The assembly is composed, on the one hand, of supports, each carrying at least one information item characteristic of an individual, and, on the other hand, of units in which the supports are introduced completely or partially and which each consist of: - means for reading the information inscribed on the supports, - means for the manual input of a confidential code, this code being in correlation with the information item, - units for processing the information and the code, which are intended particularly for converting at least one of the two in order to reduce them to two comparable quantities, - means for comparing the two quantities obtained, - and a dial displaying the result of this comparison in the all-or-nothing mode. This assembly is notable in that the units comprise marking means leaving a reference trace on each support just checked and units for processing the information of the confidential code which are each linked to particular predetermined characteristics of the code. The invention is used in bank transactions and for access to special zones, such as parking areas or computer rooms.
