LA CHAPA SE INTRODUCE POR LA ZONA DE RECUPERACION (1), CALENTANDOSE CON LOS HUMOS PROCEDENTES DE LOS SIGUIENTES HORNOS (2,3). A CONTINUACION PASA A UN SEGUNDO HORNO (2), DONDE ALCANZA UNA TEMPERATURA DE 600 C, INTRODUCIENDOSE EN UN TERCER HORNO (3), DONDE EN FUNCION DE LA CALIDAD DEL ACERO SALE CON UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE LOS 600 C Y LOS 700 C. TRAS ESTE ULTIMO CALENTAMIENTO, PASA A UNA ZONA DE MANTENIMIENTO (5) PREVIA A UNA PRIMERA ZONA DE REFRIGERACION (6) POR CHORROS DE GAS SITUADA ANTES DE LA INSTALACION DE REFRIGERACION RAPIDA (10).
