Abstract
The control system keeps the amplitude of vibration of the vibrated mass constant. The vibrations are generated by an unbalanced motor whose speed is controlled to keep the amplitude constant. A signal describing the required amplitude is compared with a signal describing the measured amplitude. The control loop is broken during the start-up of the motor. The speed of the motor is controlled by controlling the supply voltage. The amplitude of the vibration is measured inductively. The voltage supplied to the motor is regulated by a thyristor unit. The required amplitude can be set as required.
