Abstract
A heat exchanger is constructed from Al sheet (I) and Cu tubes (2). The tubes (2) are attached to the plate (1) by clamps (3) made of steel wire. The clamps (3) are U-shaped with the ends (4) of the legs bent outwards. The clamps (3) are fitted over the tubes (2) and the turned out portions (4) are pressed or rolled into the sheet (1) so that they are firmly embedded. The clamps (3) are supplied attached to a strip (5) of paper or plastic for ease of handling. Alternatively the clips may be formed from a continuous length of wire.
