Abstract

The socket for explosion proof lighting fitting accommodates a voltage converter. The large cavity of socket accommodates electrical components while the socket has a conventional size. The cavity (13) of the socket has a rhomboidal shape. The electrical connections (15, 16, 17, 18) emerging from the electrical components of the socket are connected to the current supply profiles (19, 25) and integrally potted. The profile ends projecting from the potting material form connections. A transformer (14) is accommodated into the rectangular cavity.
