Abstract

Steam pressure measurement is required for control of thermodynamic operation of steam generator in energy producing installation. Static pressure is obtained in the enclosure where liquid and vapour are mixed. Wall (1) of the enclosure containing steam has a tube (2) passing through to transmit static pressure to a connecting tube (3) of the measuring instrument. A measuring tube (5) is coupled to connecting tube and is attached to the wall by threaded collar (7) with fixing pins (8) to ensure fluid retention. The enclosure tube inside is pierced radially with series of orifice (10). The end is sealed by a stopper (11) and covered by a two-part (13, 14) spherical cap. Orifices (17) provide intermediate chamber around tube to contain condensate.
